Frances TerryBRAZZEL-CORNSIH FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, May 31, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Frances Terry, 70, of Prescott died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott. Mrs. Terry was born August 4, 1929, in Hempstead County to Arthur and Lois Brooks Sewell. She was a legal secretary, a Methodist and a member of the Eastern Star. She attended Blevins High School, where she graduated as valedictorian of her senior class. She was a member of the varsity basketball team and an active participant/leader in school activities. She attended Tyler Commercial College. Upon graduation, she was employed by Cotton Belt Railroad of Tyler. She completed 27 years as a legal secretary for R.W. Dudley' Rouse, a local attorney, retiring in 1993. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include one daughter, Nanette Terry Sissney of Whitesboro, Texas; a son-in-law, Dale Sissney of Whitesboro; two sisters, Jean Sewell Stuart of Nashville and Jamye Sewell Barnes of Prescott; two grandchildren, Michael Sissney and John Sissney both of Whitesboro; one niece, Cheri Stuart of Memphis, Tenn.; and one nephew, Jim Barnes of Spring Hill. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 25, at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home Chapel of Prescott with Rev. Neal Ridling officiated.
