Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellow-ship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

evenings at 8:00 in the church. For

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott at the courthouse June 22.

Supplemental Security Income pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible call 1-800-772-1213.

White's Chapel Baptist Church will have its revival June 12-16 with services starting at 7:30 each night. Bro. Jerry Evans will be the evangelist. White's Chapel is located between Bodcaw and Willisville on County Road 7.

S.C.A.N., (suspected child abuse and neglect) needs volunteers. You can volunteer your services to help brighten the life of a child in your community.

The Laneburg Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at Monday, June 5, at 7:00 p.m. at Laneburg Baptist Church. Those interested are invited to attend.

Revival at Union Missionary Baptist Church continues through June 2 at 7:30 each evening.

Sam Husser is the evangelist.

Friendship United Methodist Church will celebrate its 119th homecoming Sunday, June 11. The church is located on Highway 371 between Blevins and McCaskill.

Singing will resume at 1 p.m. and the Friendship Cemetery report will be given at 1:30. Everyone is invited.

Morris Baptist Church will be having a car wash at the church June 3 starting at 8:30. All proceeds go to the youth group for their summer trip.

The Hope Quilters Guild will hold its monthly meeting Monday, June 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the Citizens National Bank conference room, Third and Elm Streets in Hope. The program this month will be on hand quilting.

Church of the Nazarene will be in revival May 31through June 4 at 7:00 each night. Sunday services will start at 10:45 with potluck afterwards and at 6 p.m. that night.

Rev. Troy Mackey of Paragould will be the speaker.

The Nevada County Board of Education will meet Tuesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. in the Nevada County courthouse. The meeting will be held in the Education Department.

Descendants of Edd and Annie Dickerson (and their nine children) will meet at the Western Sizzlin Restaurant in Hope for lunch at 12 noon Saturday, June 3, to visit and to catch up on family happenings for a couple of hours. This is a very casual get-together; no reservations are requiredjust show up, go through the line on your own and join the family in the private dining room to the left of the order line. All relatives and friends are invited.
