UA Students Now Working In AreaPublished Sunday, May 14, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe University of Arkansas Community Design Center arrived in Prescott Monday, May 22, and began canvassing the town. The team consists of eight architecture students, a graphic designer and a professor from the School of Architecture in Fayetteville. Students have spent the week measuring and documenting the downtown area. You have probably seen the students and wondered what they were doing. The purpose of the six-week summer workshop is to study and analyze the downtown area and then propose a plan for renovating and preserving the downtown buildings. While in Prescott the team is working in the former Alliance Home Health office at 300 East Second Street. The team welcomes any visitors who would like to stop by to visit and to see the work the students are doing.
