College News - SAU Holds GraduationPublished Wednesday, May 31, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneSeveral area students graduated May 12 from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. In all there were 324 students graduating from SAU, 35 with honors. SAU graduates from Nevada County included Traci Hughes of Prescott, with a B.B.A. in business administration-finance; Kathleen A. Beaman of Emmet, with an A.S. in nursing; and these Rosston students: Linda L. Blake, with an M.Ed in agency counseling, Kristi A. Clayton with an A.S. in nursing, Sonya Yvette Ingram with a B.S. in sociology (social work specialization) and Rachel Sharee Moore with a B.S. in recreation-community service. James Brenton Talley of McCaskill also graduated with a B.S. in agriculture sciences. Students attaining at grade point average of 3.5-3.74 graduated cum laude, students who earned a GPA of 3.75-3.89 graduated magna cum laude and students who earned a GPA of 3.9-4 graduated summa cum laude, the highest honor bestowed.
