Jake, Helen and Lucy Glass and Nel Avery spent last week in Branson, Mo. They saw lots of interesting shows and sights.

J.W. and Maxine Glass attended the Blevins-Cornelius reunion Saturday evening.

C&C Extension Homemakers Club gean and cornbread supper went very well at Cale City Hall Saturday evening. Jeff and Tara Carlton entertained with gospel singing. The political candidates made their announcements. The rest just ate and visited. The club also gave away an Afghan donated by Mary Reaves. Candace Carrie was the lucky recipient of the Afghan.

Bro. Raymond and Phenae Hicks attended high school exercises of their granddaughter in Arkadelphia Saturday.

Funeral services for Ivy Kirk was Monday at Shackelford Funeral Home. He was buried in Caney Cemetery.

I attended the annual homecoming at Missionary Grove Baptist Church Sunday afternoon. My brother, Joe Baker, and his wife, Katie, from Como, Texas, and my sister, Edith May, from Delight were there also. Following the afternoon singing we all went by my sister, Pauline Blevins, for a visit.

Bro. Tal Webb sub-taught school Friday and came home with an injured shoulder. I never did understand just how it happened. Maybe he fell.

This week we have fourth Thursday singing at 7 p.m. at Morris Baptist. Fifth Sunday fellowship will be potluck Sunday and primary election Tuesday. Hope everyone is a winner.

Thought: Life is not so short, but there is time for courtesy.
