College News - Kelly WhitmarshPublished Wednesday, May 24, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneKelly Whitmarsh of Prescott received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Saturday, May 13. Whitmarsh graduated summa cum laude the highest rank a graduate can receive with a cumulative grade point average of 4.0. Her major is physical therapy, and her minor was interdisciplinary studies. Her minor was earned through her studies in the UCA Honors College and completion of this minor included writing and presenting a thesis. Her thesis was entitled, Elvis Aron Presley. The Man Behind the Myth, The Legend Beyond the Stereotypes. Whitmarsh plans to continue her education in physical therapy and is currently pursuing her master's degree at UCA.
