Lonnie Pierce

Lonnie Pierce, 96, of Whelen Springs died Tuesday, May 25, 1999.

Mr. Pierce had been living in Camden with his daughter, Catherine Bradford, for the past few years. He was a retired farmer and Baptist. Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his wife, Loucinda Williams Pierce, a daughter, Mary Belle Pierce, and a son, Archie Allen Pierce.

Survivors include five sons, James Kenneth Pierce of Montrose, Colo., Lloyd Anderson Pierce of Independence, Mo., Thomas Rodney Pierce of Springdale, William Boyd Pierce of Arkadelphia and Jerry Lee Pierce of Hallsville, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 29, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel in Gurdon with interment in Dobyville Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
