We had a wind storm Friday night. We had quite a bit of damage, but no one was hurt.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the Bernard Newberry family over the death of his son, Orville. He was buried Saturday at Red Springs near Gurdon. Willie and Julene Hulan attended his funeral.

Bennie and Delight Blount, Heather and Elizabeth and Ray Moseley of Gurdon visited Mae Blunt Sunday.

Everett and Mary Orren spent Tuesday night with Fate House of Powderly, Texas. They went from there to Oklahoma to Turner Falls and up the Chisolm Trail sight-seeing. They returned home Saturday.

Jackie and Georgia Johnson of Morris, Ill., spent Friday night with his mother, Mildred Johnson. They were enroute to Fort Polk, La., to pick up their daughter, Jackie Snyder. They stopped back by on their way home.

Those spending Mother's Day with Annie Mae Hooks were Agatha Cowart of Idabel, Okla., Diane Blankenship, Angie Copeland and baby Paige and Gaywin and Gary Golden and Gigi.

Lenord and Faye House spent the weekend with their son, Sammy, and his family of Little Rock.

Rouch and Martha Ann Allison and Harvey and Kim Allison of Hamburg spent Saturday night with Elsie Elmore. They all had supper Saturday night and dinner Sunday with Cathryn and Pete Jester and Jimmy Joe. Other visitors Sunday were Ricky and Denise Stubbs and Courtney and Theresa of Nashville.

Willie and I enjoyed visiting Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas Sunday afternoon. Judy Allen and Syble Brown visited them Sunday morning.

Herbie Ridgell and family, Jeff and Cherrie Ridgell, Loretta and Josh, Robin and Elizabeth, Andrew and Alex Ridgell, Ashley Beck and Margo Green visited him Sunday.
