Frank Norris 'Blue' MitchellROBINSON AND SON FUNERAL HOME of PINE BLUFFPublished Wednesday, May 17, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Frank Norris Blue' Mitchell, 72, of White Hall died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at his home. Mr. Mitchell was born July 12, 1927, in Bodcaw to Willie Ervin Mitchell and Ada Orene Hooper Mitchell. He was reared and educated in Willisville and graduated from Willisville High School in 1948 after taking a year away from school to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. He returned to Arkansas and completed his education before re-enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corps where he served his country for over 20 years before retiring November 20, 1969, as a Tech Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force. He then worked for the Non-Commisioned Officer's Club at the Jacksonville Air Base and later was the club manager for Elks Lodge #1004 of North Little Rock for a number of years before retiring and moving to Pine Bluff in 1983. He was a member of Elks lodge #1004 in North Little Rock, the Veterans of Foreign War and he was a Baptist . In addition to his parents, Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by two brothers, John Mitchell and Marvin Mitchell, and two sisters, Polly Mitchell and Dorothy Mitchell Weaver. Survivors include two sons, Thoms Wayne Mitchell and Kenneth Ervin Mitchell, both of Jacksonville; a daughter, Ruth Orene Mabry of White Hall; two brothers, William B. Mitchell of Hot Springs and Garland H. Mitchell of Mountain Pine; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services were held Friday, May 12, at Willisville Cemetery with Rev.
