College News - Three Graduating From UAMSPublished Wednesday, May 17, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneThree Nevada County college students will get their diplomas Saturday, May 20, at 3:00 p.m. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Joseph Griffin of Prescott, who graduated in December 1999, will get his Ph.D. Saturday from the Graduate School. Graduating from the College of Health Related Professions is Patricia G. Messer of Rosston with an associate of science degree in respiratory therapy. Wesley A. McKamie, also of Rosston, will receive his bachelor of science degree in cardio-respiratory Therapy. A total of 647 students from the Graduate School and the four colleges of UAMS will receive their degrees. These students represent a diversity of cultures and creeds from around the world, yet all of these people have been brought together by a common desire to pursue excellence in healthcare. B.
