Plans Underway For Health Fair

Plans are being made by the Prescott/Nevada County Health Alliance for the fourth annual Health Fair to be held Saturday, September 9, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The group is recruiting participants for the upcoming event and would like to encourage area businesses and organizations to contact Janet McAdams or Jon Chadwell, co-chairs for the event, concerning their participation and the event or booth they would like to sponsor.

The Health Alliance is made up of interested medical personnel and other support groups in and around Nevada County who wish to promote good health.

Each year a day of free health screening is provided to anyone who wishes to attend. It is an educational opportunity as well as a day of fun for all ages with lots of give-aways.

The group met May 9 at the Nevada County Extension office building. The next meeting will be June 13 at 7:00 a.m. at the same place. Anyone wishing to attend is invited.

The Alliance welcomes new ideas and participants as it begins to finalize plans and work for the 2000 Health Fair.
