New Caney Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Gurdon are joining together to hold vacation Bible school on June 12 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. Ages 2 through sixth grade may attend. Call 353-2781 or 353-4421 to register. Van transportation will be available.

Warren-Fretwell reunion will be held June 12 at Gurdon Park. Bring potluck and lawn chairs and enjoy visiting with old and new friends.

The Clark County Humane Society is collecting Big Star and Piggly Wiggly grocery receipts. The Humane Society receives one cent of each dollar spent. This money helps pay for food and veterinary services for the animals. Mail the receipts to Clark County Humane Society, P.O. Box 435, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.

Albert and Rev. Nancy Smith family reunion will be held Sunday, June 13, at the Gurdon Municipal Building, 103 Maple St. in Gurdon. Bring potluck for dinner.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be in Gurdon June 3 at the Gurdon Municipal Building from 8:30 until 11:30a.m. Call 353-2514 for appointment. New applicants welcome.

A revival is in progress at Carrie Street Church of God. On June 3, guest speaker will be missionary Mary W. Oliver of Victory Way Church of God in Christ of Bearden. On June 4 the guest speaker will be Sis. Georgia Alexander of Faith Unlimited Outreach of Camden. Services begin at 7:00 nightly.

Area Agency on Aging of West Central Arkansas will be having its regular board meeting on Thursday, June 3, at 10 a.m. at its office in Hot Springs at 905 West Grand Ave. The public is invited to attend.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
