Figures for the second billing cycle from Prescott Water and Light showed a marked increase from March to April.

March's records had a total of 54 overdue accounts. Of these, nine were 90 days or more past due, six were 60 days past due and the rest were simply late.

These past due accounts totaled $27,425.83.

For April, though, the total number of late accounts grew to 90, with 17 90 days or more late; 14 60 days past due and 53 new late accounts.

However, four meters were pulled and one had a final notice given to make up the 90 accounts.

April's late fees totaled $29,532.57. This is an increase of $2,106.74 over March's figures.

Three of the April accounts were in excess of $1,000, with the largest single bill owed a commercial account for $5,115.01.

The largest known residential account on the second cycle list was for $3,679.44. This account is more than 90 days past due. But, it was down a bit from March, when $3,885.73 was owed.

The lowest late bill on the list was $42.73.

Oddly enough, there is a commercial account on the list 90 days past due with a balance of $171.34 for April. The bill in March was $86.00.
