Third and fourth graders at Gurdon Primary School were treated by the Quapaw String Quartet on May 9. The quartet members also play in the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. The students enjoyed seeing the instruments up close and asking questions about them. International Paper Company made the group's visit to Gurdon possible.

GOOD JOB Gurdon Primary School inducted third and fourth grade students into the Honors Club Monday, May 1. They are, l-r, front row, Brady King and Evan Rutherford; second row, Donte Stephens, Treveil Threadgill, Beau McKenzie and Melanie Cottingham.

The Elementary Quiz Bowl team from Cabe Middle School placed third in regional competition. The members are, l-r, Colton McClure, Jonathan Lacy, Derek Buck, captain, Josh Lockwood and LaDonna Lasker. Elementary Quiz Bowl is sponsored by Dawson Education Cooperative.
