Edward Thomas Dodgen Jr.HORNE FUNERAL HOME of GURDONPublished Wednesday, May 10, 2000 in the Gurdon Times Edward Thomas Dodgen Jr., 70, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died Friday, May 5, 2000. He was a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. After retiring from the military he worked for Caston Lumber Co. as a hardware buyer for 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Eva Samantha Dodgen of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Theresa Jean Whitley and Patricia Yvonne Gordon, both of Oklahoma City; one stepson, Larry Dale Dodgen; one sister, Estel Lavene Bauer of Gurdon; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 9, at Red Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Gray officiating. Burial was in Deciepher Cemetery under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
