Classy Moments at Cabe Middle School

Excitement is in the air! The students are enjoying their new yearbooks. As soon as the word was out that the packages had arrived, students were anxious to get their own copy. I must say, "A job well done."

The Cabe Middle School Student Council staff members really did a great job in preparing the books. Mrs. Clingan, their sponsor, is very proud of their work and dedication.

The yearbook is dedicated to Mr. Bobby Smithson. The Staff appreciates the work he has done to make sure that we have the needed materials and facility to make education a goal that we are striving to achieve.

You just don't find many, if any, superintendents who will mow the campus grounds, football field and even help to install flag poles. We have one who does all of those things and so often we just don't think anything about it. Maybe we are just spoiled' and never really stop to realize how much we' mean to him. If he is working for just the money, then he is most definitely underpaid. A big thank you, Mr. Smithson, for caring so much.

We would like for you to make plans to attend the eighth grade graduation on May 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gurdon High School gym. This is very special to those students and they would like to share it with you.

Spring pictures have arrived and they are so good. Several group pictures were made. Such wonderful memories for those students.

Mrs. Hitt's junior high choir will present their spring concert Monday, May 15, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Hope you can attend this great performance, as the students have worked really hard to have their voices in tune' at just the right time.

There are several things to get completed before the end of school. To all the faithful readers, thank you so very much for taking the time to read our article and for supporting us while we make those Classy Moments at CMS.
