Claud E. Head, 83, of Prescott died Friday, April 28, 2000, at this home.

Mr. Head was born December 28, 1916, in Hempstead County to Richard Absalom and Cora Belle Harmon Head. He was a retired farmer and timber man, a member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church in Nubbin Hill and a member of the AARP. He was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers, Clarence, Earl and Virgil.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Irene Elizabeth Treas Head, of Prescott; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Head and Martha of Slidell, La., Gaylon Head and Alice of Prescott; Dean Head and Carol of Hope and Terry Head and Lisa of Maysville, Ky., four daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Hill and Bill of Prescott, Kay Schane and Glenn of Flower Mound, Texas, Ann Sam' Hill and Jerry of Delight, and Judy Roberts and Vernon Jr., of Hope; one sister and brother-in-law, Arlene Moses and Gus of Hope; 32 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 30, at Missionary Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial was in Nubbin Hill Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
