Gerald Henry Goff, 77, of Texarkana died Tuesday, April 25, in a local hospital.

Mr. Goff was born December 2, 1922, in Prescott and had lived in Texarkana, Ark., since 1947. He was a member of Central Christian Church, where he served as an elder and Sunday school teacher. He was retired from American States Insurance Company, formerly Western Insurance Company, and Mannie Stevens Insurance Agency. Mr. Goff was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Ann Goff Nash, and his wife, Juanita Goff.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Hughes Goff of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Pam Goff of Texarkana, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and David McClintock of Texarkana, Texas; and eight grandchildren, Jakeb Goff of Conway, Nathan and Dara Goff of Lufkin, Texas; Laci Goff of Texarkana, Ark.; Laura Richardson of Texarkana, Texas; Justin McClintock of Douglas, Kans., Lissa Nash of West Fork, Gus Richardson of Texarkana, Texas, and Will Nash of West Fork.

Funeral services were Friday, April 28, at the Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel of the Texarkana Funeral Home with Mark Ions officiating. Burial was in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home of Texarkana, Texas.
