PHS Plans Exam For WednesdayPublished Wednesday, May 3, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Arkansas Comprehensive Testing, Assessment and Accountability Program (ACTAAP) focuses on testing to measure application of basic skills and problem-solving skills that are essential to the success of students in school. The ACTAAP criterion-referenced tests have been developed to measure achievement of the Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks (the state-level expectations for instruction) and will identify those students who may be in need of additional instruction in language arts and mathematics. Prescott High School students will take the end of course algebra Pilot exam Wednesday, May 3. Because this is a field test (a tryout of new test questions), there will be no student results. Only those students completing algebra I/ algebra B this semester will be tested. Parents can help by making sure their child gets plenty of sleep the night before the test; has breakfast on the morning of the test; goes to school on the day of the test; and knows that you think he or she will do well on the test. If you have any questions concerning ACTAAP call the high school counselor at 887-2770 during school hours. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
