Gurdon School Board Honors Students

TOP SPELLERS  Kerbi Key and Brittney Dickerson were recognized by the Gurdon School Board recently for their efforts in the Clark County Spelling Bee. Both were given pins of achievement. Key won the first grade division, while Dickerson finished third in the second grade competition.

LEADING CHEERS  Gurdon's Senior Cheerleaders were recognized by the Gurdon School Board for winning the state cheerleading title recently. GRID STARS  These five players were honored by the Gurdon School Board for their efforts on the football field during the 1999 season. They are, from left: Greg Marks, Rashun Hopson, Colby Pace, Cody Cox and Brandon Ellis.

GREAT THINKERS  Gurdon's School Board honored the Odyssey of the Mind team for its efforts in OM competition. The team is, back row from left: Andrew Wilson, Cassie Lynn, Brandi Escalante and Martin Downey. Front row from left: Jennifer Guthrie, Crystal Simpson and Whitney Hogue.

ROUNDBALL WIZARDS  These four members of the Go-Devil basketball team were lauded by the Gurdon School Board for their efforts on the hardwood. They are, from left: Rashun Hopson, Derek Anderson, Norris Glenn and Cameron Rhinehart.

CHEERING JUNIORS  Gurdon's middle school cheerleaders were also recognized by the Gurdon School Board.
