Cheerleaders Raising Funds By Car Hopping At Sonic

The Gurdon Junior Cheerleaders will be accepting donations and tips as they carhop at the Gurdon Sonic Saturday, May 6. The cheerleaders will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to bring your food and drinks to you.

They will be happy to perform a jump, cheer or chant for a donation. Be sure to visit the Sonic on Saturday, you may catch a glimpse of one of the Wacky Pack Kids as you register for the drawing to be held at the end of the day.

The prize for the drawing will be a $50 Wal-Mart gift certificate.

The young ladies are raising money for cheerleader camp, which will be in Jonesboro June 12-15.

Members of the 2000-2001 junior cheerleader squad are Katie Barbaree, Blair Griffin, Halley Griffin, Lindett Kadiri, Callie King, Haleigh McDaniel, Taylor Pace, Jill Plyler, Cassy Purifoy, Destiny Talley, Kayla Wells and Takia Williams.
