Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellow-ship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is seeking ideas and items to put into the millennium time capsule.

This box will be placed in the mini-park that is being developed on the former Sterling Store lot at the corner of Main and West First Streets. It will be buried in early summer.

The box will be opened in 100 years.

The Prescott High School class of 1980 is seeking information regarding addresses of class members.

Moms in Touch prayer groups for schools and children meet Tuesdays from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church. For more information call 887-6376.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott at the courthouse April 27, May 25 and June 22.

Supplemental Security Income pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible call 1-800-772-1213.

Fred C. Gragg SuperTree Nursery has achieved STAR Status in OSHA's voluntary protection program.

There will be an awards ceremony and celebration May 9 at 11 a.m. at the nursery, just off Highway 299 south of Bluff City. Those going should follow directions from Bluff City.

Bluff City School will have a reunion Saturday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hale Center (same place as in 1999, near Hillcrest Care and Rehab Center).

Those attending need to take finger foods.

National Day of Prayer will be held Thursday, May 4, at the Nevada County Courthouse from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

The theme is Y2 Pray.'

Prescott School District is now accepting nominations for possible gifted and talented (GT) testing and placement. Nominations are open for grades 3-12. A form may be picked up at the McRae Middle School from Phillip Holthoff or at Prescott Elementary School from Alvis Conway.

Waldrep Cemetery will have its annual get together Saturday morning, May 6. The cemetery is located off old Highway 19 between Willisville and Waldo.

White's Chapel Baptist Church will have its homecoming Sunday, May 7. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with devotional by Vaughn Goodwin and message by Bro. Jerry Evans.

There will be a potluck lunch and afternoon singing.

Revival will be held June 12-16 with services starting at 7:30 each night. Bro. Jerry Evans will be the evangelist. White's Chapel is located between Bodcaw and Willisville on County Road 7.

The annual business meeting of Ebenezer Cemetery will be held Sunday, May 7, at 2 p.m. at Bluff City Baptist Church.

A diabetic education class will be held Wednesday, May 12, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark County Fairgrounds Extension Homemakers kitchen. Nerve damage will be the topic. The fairgrounds is located just south of Arkadelphia of Highway 67.

The speaker will be Mark Jansen, M.D.

The meeting will be sponsored by AllCare Pharmacy and Nevada County Cooperative Extension.

Anyone wishing transportation should be at the Nevada County Extension office that day by 1:15 p.m.

S.C.A.N., (suspected child abuse and neglect) needs volunteers. You can volunteer your services to help brighten the life of a child in your community.

Jeff and Trish Milam of Prescott announce the birth of their son, Jacob Levi, born Monday, April 17, at Christus St. Michael Health Center in Texarkana.

Jake weighed seven pounds and eight ounces and was 20= inches long.

Grandparents are Stan and Lesa Brzeski and Jerry and Janet Milam all of Prescott.

The annual Bluff City community homecoming will be held Sunday, May 7.

The annual meeting of the Bluff City Cemetery Association will be at the Bluff City Church of Christ building Sunday, May 7, at 2 p.m.
