Two Perish In Emmet House FireBY RICKY RAGSDALEPublished Wednesday, May 3, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune TWO DIE IN EMMET FIRE - Two women died in a house fire at Emmet Wednesday, April 26, on Third Street. The victims were identified as Callie Love, 37, and Alanna Block, 19. Emmet volunteer firefighters responded to the scene just after 11:00 p.m. and requested units from Laneburg, Prescott, the Nevada County Rescue Unit and Perrytown (Hempstead County) to assist. According to officials at the scene, the home was engulfed when firefighters arrived. Joe Love received burns and cuts escaping from the fire, and transported to the hospital by the Nevada County Ambulance Service, according to officials.
