Gurdon Band Raises FundsBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, May 3, 2000 in the Gurdon Times RAISING MONEY An auction and hamburger dinner were held to raise money to send members of the Gurdon High School Band to band camp at Ouachita Baptist University this summer. The auction raised $2,100, about half of the amount needed to send 23 students to camp. Tambra Smith, treasurer for the Rotary Club, said the figures aren't in from the hamburger lunch.
