Our attendance is beginning to grow at Bethel AME Church in the Oak Grove community. Services Sunday were well attended. We had an Easter program. It was very nice. There were not very many young people in the program. Easter doesn't mean much to the youngsters like it used to.

We had quite a lot of new faces. Among them was my husband's cousin, Joyce Quarles Hunter, from Malvern. She came to see George, who has been a very sick man. He has been in ICU almost a week. I visit with him every day.

Clara Joe has been dismissed and is back in Beverly Health Care in Prescott.

Mary Altie Jenkins Williams' funeral was Thursday, April 20, at Bethel AME Church in Hope. Rev. W.G. Wynn officiated. Rev. Ennis Montgomery is the pastor. Burial was in Covehill Cemetery #2 under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home of Hope.

George's birthday was Monday, April 24. He was 89 years old.

James Blackley and Mary went to Rockford, Ill., to his mother's cousin's funeral. The deceased was Bud Sanders' wife. Sympathy goes out to the Sanders family.
