As I'm writing this on Sunday afternoon. There are tornado warnings all around us and even Prescott was mentioned.

Shannon Henderson honored her grandmother, Wilma Compton, with a birthday party at her home on Saturday. Those attending were Wilma's daughter and their families, Linda Ghormley, Kay Hendricks and also a niece, Faye Odom, from Arcadia, La.

Guest of George and Joy Cox on Easter were her sister, Louise Willis, Gigi Golden, and Danny, Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington.

Cathy Straley from McKinney, Texas, spent last weekend with her parents, Pershing and Mary Cox.

Megan Vandiver hosted a party at her home on Saturday night. They enjoyed basketball and watching movies.

Jerry and Rhonda Hillery hosted a lunch and Easter egg hunt at their home on Sunday. About 50 friends and family members attended.

Virgle, Allison and Cody Kisselburg hosted a hamburger lunch and egg hunt Sunday afternoon. About 25 family members enjoyed it.

Debbie Boles Whitlock was here for her brother Charlie's funeral, and she spent sometime with her friend, Terri Vandiver.

Our deepest sympathy to the Bolls family. Charlie was the son of the late Fred and Thelma Bolls. He was born and raised in this community and we feel like he's one of our own.

Our nephew, J. R. Dunn, and his wife, Ann, from Magnolia and Neil's sister, Jerri Davis, from Stephens visited us on Wednesday.
