SAAC board evangelism presents its spring shepherd's quake conference at Muldrew Chapel CME Church, Fourth and Jones in Gurdon on April 27-30 at 7:30 nightly. Rev. Louis Ross, director, and Rev. Vincent Gamble, host pastor.

Choir night will be Sunday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church of Gurdon. Rev. Betty Gulley, pastor. All choirs and churches are invited.

Women in White 2000, will be held Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church of Gurdon. Rev. Betty Gulley, pastor. Sis Marie Mitchell, president. Special guest will be Sis. Donna Hart of Arkadelphia, daughter of Sis. Mitchell, who will be the speaker.

Annual mission day program will be held Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m. a New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gurdon. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor. Sis. Vernessia Russey, president. Special guest will be Oak Grove A.M.E. Zion of Selma. Rev. Rose Ridgell, pastor and speaker.

Section One meeting and fifth Sunday singing of the Southwest District will convene at New Bethel Baptist Church in Arkadelphia April 28, 29 and 30. Pre-musical will be Friday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcomed by Rev. C.W. Harris, Section One president, Bro. Lawrence Guinn, president of the choir, Rev. Muase, pastor, and Dr. C.K. Yarber, moderator.

Sharon Harper of Gurdon, wife of Eddie Harper and daughter of evangelist Bertha L. Holliman, will bring her first message Sunday, April 30, at 3:00 p.m. at New Beginning Full Gospel Church in Prescott. Rev. Herbert Adams, pastor.

Clark County Section One meeting will convene with Shady Grove Baptist Church Friday, April 28, 29 and 30 in Beirne. It will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. Rev. Gregory Marshall, moderator.

The first Sunday night fellowship services will convene at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon on May 7 at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Revival services will be held at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church on May 1519 at 7:00 p.m. nightly. Evangelist for the week will be Rev. H.B. Montgomery, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Revival services will be held May 17-19 at 7:30 p.m. nightly at the old senior citizen building on Longhorn street in Gurdon. Evangelist for the week will be Rev. M.C. Donna Haynes, pastor of Tender Heart Ministry of Hope.

The Welch family planning meeting will be held Saturday, May 27, at 6:00 p.m. in the home of Winfred and Margret Burton of Gurdon.

Bobby Harper of Chicago, Ill., recently visited his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Harrington-Gulley, of Gurdon and other relatives and friends.

Jay Reece Wiley, also of Chicago, visited with his sister, Ola Mae Bailey, of Burtsell. He also visited Veodis Coaks of Malvern, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Davis of Gurdon and other friends and family in the surrounding area.

Zandra Ann Blevins of Memphis, Tenn., visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe F. Welch, her sister, Lois Williams and her family, and her cousins, Jerine Hatley and Winfred and Margret Burton, all of Gurdon, as well as other friends and family in surrounding areas.

Mammie Hodge and daughter of Ft. Worth, Texas, Patricia and her husband, Kent, of Little Rock, and Mary Ann Anderson, and other family visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gatlin, and extended family members on Sunday.

Vanessa Russey of Gurdon has returned home after spending time with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Booker and son, Milton Golden, grandchildren and great grandchildren, in Dallas, Texas.
