McAdams, Chadwell To Head Health FairPublished Wednesday, April 19, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneJanet McAdams and Jon Chadwell have been selected to coordinate this year's Health Fair in Prescott with the date set for September 9. The Health Fair is sponsored by the Prescott/Nevada County Health Alliance. The alliance is made up of interested medical personnel and other support groups in and around the county who wish to promote good health. Each year a day of free health screening is provided to anyone who wishes to attend. It is an educational opportunity as well as a day of fun for all ages with lots of give-aways. It was reported that approximately 400 people attended the 1999 Health Fair. Members of the alliance recently met at the Nevada County Extension office to discuss the fair and to elect officers for this year. Mary Alice Blevins was elected coordinator; Prissy Traczewitz, secretary; and Candace Carrie, treasurer. This team will work closely with McAdams and Chadwell and other members of the alliance to help make this year's Health Fair an even bigger success. The next meeting for the group will be May 9 at the Fish Nest Restaurant at 7 a.m. Anyone wishing to attend is invited.
