The Bluff City Helping Hands Extension Homemakers Club met April 13 at the Church of Christ. There were 11 members present.

The meeting was called to order by Marguerite Tomlin, president.

Laverne Green, secretary, called the roll by asking everyone, "Who does the most cleaning of your kitchen?"

This task seems to belong to the lady of the house. There are a few exceptions.

Inspirational thought was If Noah had been truly wise, he would have swatted the two flies in the ark." It would have been easier while he had them cooped up. But also I'm sure God had a place and reason for the pesky little rascals.

The program Ten Steps to a Safe Kitchen,' was presented by Laverne Green. We should be careful to keep hands washed between handling of foods, especially meats.

Service committee for April, May and June includes Kay Sellers, Becky Meador and Oleta Nelson.

Club members were to go to the spring council meeting April 18. Everyone who can should take a pair of old unused glasses to be recycled for those who need them and maybe can't afford to buy them; take $1 if you don't have any.

This is a program sponsored by the Lions Club. The club appreciates them for letting us have a part in their efforts.

Everyone is encouraged to remember the Red Cross Blood Drive May 16.

Door prizes were won by Kay Nelson and Becky Meador.

The Easter bunny came a little early. Secret pals were hopping around showing their Easter surprises.

The meeting was adjourned. Potluck was enjoyed by all. Laverne Green and Ruth Sullivan furnished drinks for all.
