Contact Pat Blake at 887-6686 or Vera Adams at 887-3563. The plans are being made for the fifth reunion, which will be held June 30 through July 4. Tentative reunion plans are: Friday night, June 30: pre-registration at Upchurch Center; Saturday, July 1: opening sessions and talent show, booths for sale of your arts, crafts, computer pictures, reunion tapes, etc. (If you are interested in setting up one of these contact the committee by May 1); Sunday, July 2: reunion morning worship service; Monday, July 3: Individual class meeting time, reunion banquet; and Tuesday, July 4: parade. Each class is encouraged to be included in the parade. Other interested groups and individuals are asked to participate also. There will also be a picnic on July 4 and a millennium ball (semi-formal) and a fireworks display. During the permanent memorial committee meeting, Ron Wright, Prescott School District superintendent, suggested a score clock for the McRae Gymnasium be bought. It will cost about $2,800. The committee approved the purchase with Homer Hopson making the motion and Johnny Hamilton seconded the motion and it was carried. Nathaniel and Norma Newman made a donation of $50 to the reunion since they would not be able to attend this year. That money was donated to the memorial fund. After discussion it was moved by Rev. Ivory Curry that 50's dressing and Lyndia's Fashions for a fashion show be a part of the entertainment for the banquet. Robert Smallwood seconded the motion and there was unanimous approval.
