GPS Students Raise Funds Jumping RopePublished Wednesday, April 12, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesGURDON PRIMARY SCHOOL Jump Rope for Heart participants raised $2,399.02 recently for charities. GPS participants in the kindergarten and first grade. The students were, first row: Chanse Walker, Robert Turner, Romeka Williams, Khadijah Muldrow; second row: Kerbi Key, Kayla Sanford, Amanda Shults, Chelsea Prince, Jennifer Pope, J.L. Lockwood; and third row: Stephen Collins, Lauren Bunnell, Jared Shaver and Kalene McBride. GPS participants in the second grade were, first row: Regan Renfro, Candice Purdy, Jessi Prince, Railey Williams; second row: Jenna Hurst, Nia Giles, Cassie Carter, Kayla Caldwell; and third row: Matt Marion, Drew Griffin, Mitchell Jones, Adam Clark and Israel Cruz. GPS third grade participants were, first row: Jeremy Witherspoon, Tiffany Howell, Jesi Woolf, Haley Green, Christie Purdy, Cody Prault, Marena Smithpeters, Alysha Waldren; second row: Blair Kuhn, Lindsy Smith, Kelli Pennington, Melanie Cottingham, Myriah Albert, Diana Bautista, Mindi Jo Jester; and third row: Joshua Babineaux, Jeremy Hammonds, Courtney Williams and Kyle Purifoy. Another participant was Preanna Hunter, not pictured. GPS fourth grade students, who participated, were, first row: Andre Anderson, Kendall Young, Chris Young, Bo Jester, Bryan Duncan; second row: Heather Bland, Stephanie Dyer, Airreall Kinder, Ashley McClure, Jessica Meeks; and third row: Misty Howell, Kendall Harper, Candace Cooper and Nicklas Harper. SUPER HELPER Out of more than 60 students, fourth grader, Amber Dempsey raised the most funds $156 for a single student during the Jump Rope for Heart' event.
