The Young Circuit second quarterly conference was held at Cana AME Church Sunday afternoon April 9 at 3:00. Rev. Thomas, presiding elder of Magnolia District, presided. Rev. Lessly Banks was the host pastor.

Another one of our alumni passed away in Los Angeles. L.V. Elliott's funeral will be Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 11 a.m. in Willisville. His mother, Roberta Tidwell, lives in Rosston. His dad, B.J. Elliott, is from County Line.

Medical Park Hospital in Hope is full of people. Willie Tidwell and George Kendrick is in the same room  117. Mrs. Elsie Sanders has been since Friday.

Mrs. Girtie Blake is still in rehab not doing well. She wants to go home. I went by and checked on her Monday.

Oak Grove Civic League meets every first Tuesday in the month at 6:30 p.m. The following members attended last week: Herbert Coleman and wife, Leo Holleman, Rose Williams, Ervy C. Williams, Ardell Johnson, Lula Q. Kendrick, Henry L. Gulley and Johnie Marsh. Ira Lou came by and paid her dues, but she could not stay for the meeting. Rose Williams lives in Willisville and doesn't miss a meeting. We need your help.
