Van and Ellen Smith of Waldo visited J.W. and Maxine Glass Tuesday evening. All J.W. and Maxine's children and their families met at the home of Hoyt and Karen Jobe for lunch Sunday after church.

In the afternoon they celebrated birthdays for Tim McCullough and Clancy Cleveland with cake and ice cream and presents. We congratulate them as they enter their teenage year this year of 2000.

Sara Jobe and Hanna Cleveland were house guests of their Aunt Pat McCullough, Tim and Leah Saturday night.

I appreciate Maxine and others for honoring her news with us. Our readers who have lived here enjoy reading about our neighbors.

Ken Carmel attended a tournament in Rogers last weekend. Saturday evening he attended a banquet and was inducted into the Arkansas Raquetball Hall of Fame. Ken has gone near and far for raquetball, and he has won many honors in his age group. This honor was a surprise to him.

Sue Church of Hot Springs and Tony Marsh and their sons had supper with Helen May Sunday of last week.
