Martin, Hawkins Plan July Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Billy R. Martin announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristi Michelle Martin, to Jason Brent Hawkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Hawkins of Heber Springs.

Vows will be exchanged July 22 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Ms. Martin is the granddaughter of Flossie Martin and the late Merline C. Martin of Prescott and the late Harvey and Clyda McKinnon, also of Prescott.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Hendrix College and received her doctorate of medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is currently completing her first year of a combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency at UAMS and Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Mr. Hawkins is the grandson of the late Carmer and Georgia Hawkins of Drasco and the late James and Jeffie Spier of Heber Springs.

The prospective groom attended the University of Central Arkansas and received his doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a pharmacist at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System.

The couple plans to reside in Little Rock after the wedding.
