Byers, Purtle To Wed May 20 In Oklahoma

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Byers of Bartlesville, Okla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Michelle, to James Sidney Purtle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Purtle of Prescott.

Michelle is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Bailey of Gurdon, Mrs. Carol Byers of Little Rock and Mr. and Mrs. Z.T. Byers of Foreman. She is the great granddaughter of Mrs. Jim Williams and the late Mr. Jim Williams, formerly of Curtis.

Jim is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Altom of Abilene, Texas and Mrs. Sid Purtle and the late Mr. Sid Purtle of Prescott.

Michelle is a 1997 graduate of Bartlesville High School and is currently a senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in microbiology.

Jim is a 1993 graduate of Prescott High School. He graduated cum lude with a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Arkansas in 1997. He will graduate in May from Oklahoma State University with a masters in business administration.

The wedding will take place on May 20 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church.
