Bluff City News

I've got all my clocks adjusted to the new time. Now, if I could just get my body adjusted to it.

Looks like I only have sad news to report this week. Several families

have been touched by loss of loved ones. We had more visitors at church on Sunday, but it was a sad

occasion that brought them there.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 1, for Clide Roe of Gurdon with burial at Bethlehem Cemetery in Clark County. He was a brother-in-law of Claudis Nelson of Bluff City.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 2, for Imogene Morgan DeWoody with burial at Bluff City Cemetery. Her parents were from Bluff City and she once lived down the road in the Terrapin Neck community.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, April 2, for Ola Anderson of Magnolia with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Troy. She was an aunt of Mary Gosvenor, one of our church members, and was related to other Nevada County folks.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 3, for Frances Kirk of Cale with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery. She was a sister of Claudis Nelson of Bluff City.

We are getting some much needed rainfall now, but I think Bluff City is still below normal. Since we are on a high hill and have plenty of sand, we usually don't complain about too much rainfall.

I have sent my census form off, and now am ready to tackle the income tax forms. You would think that the government could at least provide us with a postage-paid envelope to mail our taxes in. We might need to write our congressmen about this, but that would require another postage stamp.

A thought: When everything is coming your way, you're probably in the wrong lane.
