Schedule Given For Meetings

The Prescott Nevada County Economic Development Office has announced the schedule for rural water meetings over the months of April and May.

These meetings will be held to answer questions residents have concerning water connection fees and usage fees.

Six meetings will be held in different communities surrounding Prescott. The community that can get the largest percentage of its households and business to sign up before October 15 will be scheduled to receive water earliest.

Citizens are encouraged to stop by the Partnership office or Prescott City Hall to sign up for water. The project will require a minimum of 600 customers to be cost effective.

Meetings are set up for the following times and places with a time of 5:30 p.m. for each meeting: April 11, Pleasant Hill community at Nubbin Hill Church; April 24, Boughton community at Boughton Church; April 25, Redland community at Shady Grove Church; May 4, Midway community at Midway Church; May 9, Highway 24 East, St. Mark's Church; and May 16, Highway 67 South, Nevada County Courthouse.

Everyone needs to encourage othersfriends and neighborsto attend these very important meetings. You will be provided an opportunity to sign up for water at these meetings.
