Golden OldiesBY DORIS VANCEPublished Wednesday, April 5, 2000 in the Gurdon Times Friday, March 31, those with birthdays enjoyed the cake donated by Thomason's Big Star. We really appreciate them doing this for the center. Those who had birthdays in March were Arlie Craig, Watson Smith, Gene Barton, Lockie Golden, Celie Acrey, Lloyd Baumgardner, Earl Smithpeters, Jimmy Stiffler, Winnie Williams, J.W. Taylor, Joe Welch, Birdie McKin, George Dixon and William Terrell. The homebound with birthdays were Allie Trout, Dorothy Turner, W.S. Ritchie, Thelma Mizell and Willie Jones. We have lots of activities scheduled for April. We will have bingo on Monday, computer classes at 12:30 noon Tuesday, and music and exercise Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Several of our members are not feeling well and some have lost loved ones. Our love and prayers are with them. We also want to thank our volunteers who work so faithfully at the center. We appreciate everyone of them. The center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way agency. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
