Muriel Tarpley ArmstrongPublished Wednesday, April 5, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesMuriel Tarpley Armstrong, 81, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Armstrong was born December 29, 1918, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Hosea and Lizzie Randle Tarpley. She was a retired seamstress from Hollywood Vassarette and member of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James Armstrong; one son, Mike Armstrong of Arkadelphia; one daughter, Sandra Jones of Montaque, Calif.; two sisters, Dorothy Epperson of Arkadelphia and Reva Wingfield of Gurdon; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Rev. Richard Brown officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
