Marjorie L. Raines

Marjorie L. Raines, 78, of Malvern died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at her residence.

Mrs. Raines was born August 2, 1921, in Whitehall, Ill., to the late June and Mammie Tabb Sandage. She was reared and educated in Gurdon. In 1939 she married the late Otis Raines. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Raines was a retired punch press operator at Feather Lite Industries. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard, and two sisters, Lucille Wingfield and Loraine Pry.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janey Raines of Malvern; two daughters, Lucille Van Meter, and her special friend J.L. Kemp of Malvern and Sylvia Ledbetter and her husband David; a sister, Evelyn Ray of Malvern; a half-sister, Sarah Callaway of Bryant; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 28, in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern with Elder Marion Harmon and Wilson Harmon officiating. Burial was in Gilchrist Cemetery in Friendship by Regency Funeral Home of Malvern.
