HSU's Founder's Day activities begin on Sunday, April 2, with a faculty recital and reception at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi and Evergreen in Little Rock

The Arkadelphia 2025 Commission will be meeting Thursday, March 30, at 5:00 p.m. in the commission's office at 522 Clay Street.

The Clark County Extension Service will be conducting a fire ant educational meeting in Gurdon Tuesday, April 4. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the Gurdon High School student center.

Hollywood Baptist Church will be holding a spring revival April 2 through 5, beginning Sunday at 6:00 p.m. with services on Monday through Wednesday starting at 7:00 p.m. Evangelist Richard Brown will be speaking. For more information call 246-4368.

United States Census 2000 is looking for part-time workers. Tests will be given every Wednesday, at the Hoo-Hoo International building at 207 Main Street beginning at 1:30 p.m. Two forms of identification are needed. For more information call 246-0519.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park will be hosting the 11th annual Beaks and BillsFeathers and Quills March 31-April 2. For information on activities call 501-865-2801.

Ouachita Baptist University will hold a preview day on Saturday, April 1, for high school juniors and seniors with exhibits, visits with students/representatives, music and an assembly.

The Tiger Gridiron Club at OBU will sponsor a Meet the Tigers' hamburger cookout Saturday, April 1, at the OBU football practice field. The cookout will begin at 11:45 a.m. For details contact David Sharp at 245-5182.

The Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club meets every second Thursday of each month at the Gurdon Municipal building beginning at 10:00 a.m. Any interested person is welcome to attend.

Oak Grove Community Church continues to hold Sunday services at 10:00 a.m. through 12:00 noon. Tommy Parker and Homer Easley, evangelists, will preach until the return of their pastor, Rev. Charles Easley. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

There will be debate Thursday, March 30, at 7:00 p.m. in the Prescott High School auditorium between the Democratic candidates for the Fourth Congressional District.

Those in the debate will be Mike Ross, Judy Smith, Bruce Harris and Dwayne Graham.

Rhonda L. Williams, Clark County Clerk, encourages any registered voter who has moved within Clark County and has not contacted the county clerk's office to make an address change to do so by calling 246-4491.

Flea market at the Clark County Fairgrounds will be held May 6. It is sponsored by the Extension Homemakers Clubs. Inside and outside booths are now available, call 353-2616 or 246-7845 for information on booth rentals.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
