Bodcaw NewsAline ClausPublished Wednesday, March 22, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Sure is windy and cold. Seems like an Easter spell, but I guess not since Easter is a month away. I told you J.D. and Marie Allen have been on the ailing list. I didn't tell you part of the problem. They have a great grandson Carter Michael Allen. Andy and Coolene are the proud parents. They are doing fine. Mrs. A.H. Barber says her granddaughter, Lisa Dearny, and Bob Lawler frm Houston are getting married April 8 at Katie, Texas. Much happiness to this couple. I wrote last week of a birthday party for Lois Henley. She enjoyed her party with 25 guests. I am sorry to report that her funeral services were on Saturday at Magnolia with burial in Union Cemetery. She has gone to another party. Our young people had lunch at church and then went to a youth rally at Laneburg Church. After the program they were to have ice cream. U'mm, good. The Gold City Singers were in concert at Klipsch Auditorium. Some from our church were going, but I don't know who. Happy birthday to Beth Tomas, Leslie Vines, Marge Poindexter, Sidney Flowers, Lola Allen, Allan Bennett, John Ed Dorman and Matt Baker. That's it for March birthdays.
