Carrie Jane DuncanPublished Wednesday, June 9, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneCarrie Jane Duncan, 59, of Grapeland, Texas, died Friday, May 28, 1999, in Crockett, Texas. Mrs. Duncan was born March 7, 1940, in Boughton to J.C. Brown and Nadene Puritt Brown. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Carroll Brown; and two children, Rita Ann Warren and Max Edward Warren. Survivors includes her husband, Jimmie Duncan of Grapeland, Texas; two sons, Arthur Wayne Warren of Whelen Springs; two stepsons, Jimmie Duncan of Grapeland and Glenn Duncan of Ashdown; her mother, Nadene Brown of Prescott; three brothers, John T. Brown of Texarkana, Ricky Glen Brown of Blevins and Gary Brown of Prescott; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Neal Ridling and Bro. Brett DuPree officiating.
