McMahen, Groce Wed At Corinth Baptist

Kristi Jill McMahen and Jonathan Reid Groce were united in a double ring ceremony at Corinth Baptist Church on Friday, July 16, at 7 p.m. It was officiated by Bro. Billy Russell.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack McMahen of Stamps.

Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Myra May and the late Earl May of Bodcaw and Mrs. Nancye McMahen and the late J.C. McMahen of Stamps.

Parents of the bridegroom are Ms. Judy Groce of Texarkana and Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Groce of El Paso, Texas.

Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wreyford of Waldo and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Groce of Stamps.

The guest book was attended by Toni Wood of Stephens. Sharla Knight of Arlington, Texas, cousin of the bride, handed out programs. The table held the bride's candle, copy of the bride's bouquet in silk, and a Precious Moments bride and groom. The table was decorated with white tulle.

The sanctuary was decorated with a 15-branch candelabra, two heart shaped candelabras and two spiral candelabras accented with springri. Beneath the candelabras were Boston ferns accented with caladiums and beautiful floral arrangements containing lockspur, Casablanca lilies, white roses, burgundy snapdragons, mini carnations, burgundy stock accented with Ruscus and springri greenery.

The first four pew benches held floral arrangements complimentary to the other arrangements.

Wedding music was provided by Cheryl McMahen of Stamps, sister-in-law of the bride.

You're Still the One and The Light in Your Eyes was sung by Holly Massey of Stamps. From This Moment' was played and sung by the bride and groom at the Unity Candle.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a designer gown of white satin. The traditional styling featured an all over appliqued skirt enhanced with beaded Alencon lace. It had a low V' neckline and long fitted sleeves to a point. The full skirt was enhanced with a detachable cathedral train, which was heavily embellished with beaded appliques.

She wore a matching elbow length veil of silk illusion with pearls. Her jewelry consisted of a single strand of pearls belonging to her grandmother Nancye Mcmahen.

She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, white Casablanca lilies, white status, and white mini carnations accented with long trailing Ruscus leaves.

Lisa Townsend of Longview, Texas, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. She wore a hunter green satin floor gown with a black empire bodice.

Bridesmaids were Jessica Summons of Buckner, cousin of the groom, Rachel Groce of Texarkana, sister of the groom, and Tammy May of Bodcaw, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Courtney of Townsend of Longview, niece of the bride. They wore gowns identical to that of the matron of honor. They carried arm bouquets complimentary to the bride's.

Flower girl was Miss Brooklyn Townsend of Longview, niece of the bride. She wore a white sleeveless satin dress. She carried a basket of white rose petals.

Marc Groce of Texarkana, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Vance Groce of Stamps, uncle of the groom, Chad McMahen of Stamps, brother of the bride, and Phil Townsend, brother-in-law of the bride. Tyler Townsend of Longview, nephew of the bride, served as junior groomsmen.

Ring bearers were Colton McMahen of Magnolia, cousin of the bride, and Hayden Halbert of Buckner.

The wedding vows were exchanged before a background of lighted candles, large floral arrangements, ferns, caladiums and tulle.

The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The focal point was an elegant, elaborate, white gazebo that centered the room. It was decorated with floral arrangements, which featured an ice sculpture of the bride and groom surrounded by ferns, caladiums, floral arrangements and candles.

The bride's cake was three tiered with a flowing fountain beneath the cake, topped with "Pretty as a Picture bride and groom." A silver candelabra, which held a beautiful floral arrangement complimented the bride's table accented with candles. Punch was served from a lighted flowing fountain.

The reception assistants were Kim McMahen of Magnolia, cousin of the bride, Stacy Noe of Bryant, Tracy Halbert of Buckner, and Amber Dillard of Rosston, cousin of the bride.

Floral designs and wedding directing was provided by Vickie Gaines of Stamps.

Wedding bubbles were passed out as the couple left the reception.

The couple reside in Stamps.
