Springtime is here, but it feels like the weatherman is mixed up. It is cold.

Chloe Orren had a nice birthday Friday. Her son, Everett Garner, and Ann Oliver visited her and she received several cards and phone calls.

Wilma Compton visited Annie Lee Cornelius and her guest, Alma Renfro, who was visiting her Wednesday.

Willie and I enjoyed having Bro. James Wood and his wife of Arlington, Texas, visiting us Wednesday. Bro. James was our pastor 32 years ago.

Lisa Shelton of Baytown, Texas, spent a couple nights with her grandmother, Syble Brown, and one night with her mother, Judy Allen. Judy accompanied Lisa to Ashdown Saturday to meet her dad, Bill Shelton, and then she returned to Baytown.

Cathrine Hooks has had pneumonia, but she is now better. All her children, Doyle Everett, Hershey, Danny, Tommy and Kathleen and a friend, Richard Hubbard, visited her Saturday.

Faye House was to go back to Little Rock Tuesday for a check-up on her hip. She hopes to get a good report.

Everett and Mary Orren watched the Arkansas vs. Miami basketball game Friday night at the home of Cliff Chism.

Boletta Crabtree of Fort Worth visited her daughter in Nashville Friday night.

Saturday night Boletta, Herbie Ridgell, Paul and Robbin Ridgell, Robin and Elizabeth Ridgell, Andrew and Alex, Dodie Ridling, Kay Wren and Meme Dickinson, Shelby and William met at Western Sizzlin in Hope for a supper get-together.

Herbie Ridgell and Boletta Crabtree had dinner Sunday with Wanda and Vernon Steven.

We are glad Betty St. Clair is home from Medical Park Hospital.

Robert and Sharla Orren and Everett and Mary Orren had a nice visit with Chloe Orren Sunday afternoon. They went home with Mary and Everett for supper.

There will be a singing at Boughton Church Saturday night, starting at approximately 5:00. There will be several groups singing. Everyone is invited to attend.
