Classy Moments

from Cabe Middle School
Published Wednesday, March 22, 2000 in the Gurdon Times

Spring break. We are really enjoying our spring break. Several of our students have trips planned, and some are just taking one day at a time to see what they may be doing. They are just glad to be out of school. Can you imagine?

Cabe Middle School Student Council and Pep Steppers provided sandwich luncheons for the teachers in honor of Arkansas Teacher Appreciation Day. It was so nice to just go in and have delicious food to enjoy.

Mrs. Morehead's class had a chicken spaghetti luncheon for the teachers. Chance Russell was the greeter at the door, as he was welcoming each one to "come on in." The teachers really enjoyed the delicious food. A big thanks to Mrs. Morehead, Mrs. Anderson and their students.

Parent-teacher conferences were conducted with great success. We always welcome parents to visit with our teachers.

We are hearing good reports from Mr. Smithson and we are hoping that he will be on the road to quick recovery soon.

Coach Hatley was seen in the wheel chair today, as she fell while playing kick-ball. It was difficult to understand Toccara Laster and Haley Griffin when they came rushing in gasping for breath and trying to tell what had happened and that the wheel chair was greatly needed. We certainly hope that she will be back in good repair' when we return from spring break.

A special diaper and wipe' shower was given to Mrs. Edrington, as she is expecting a baby in April. She was very grateful for the gifts. The cake was delicious, as it seems we can always find reasons to eat.

We have eight weeks of school left for this year. Time has just flown by for us, of course the students seem to think that it creeps by.

Again, thank you for your support for us at CMS as we continue to make those Classy Moments.
