Nicole Green and Terry Accor of Gurdon wish to announce the birth of their daughter, Kira Danielle Accor, born Monday, March 13, 2000 at 7:36 a.m.

Weighing seven pounds and one ounce, Kira has two brothers Christopher and John.

Kira is the granddaughter of Laura Green and the late Raymond Green and Bertha Holliman, all of Gurdon, and James Accor of Los Angeles, Calif.

The board of directors of Central Arkansas Development Council will meet Monday, March 27, at 7:00 p.m. at the Malvern Senior Adult Center, 836 Acme Street. Interested persons are invited to attend.

DeGray Lake Resort State Park will be hosting the 11th annual Beaks and BillsFeathers and Quills March 31-April 2. For information on activities call 501-865-2801.

Ouachita Baptist University will hold a preview day on Saturday, April 1, for high school juniors and seniors with exhibits, visits with students/representatives, music and an assembly.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be holding sessions at the Gurdon Municipal Building on March 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. For more information call 353-2514.

Rhonda L. Williams, Clark County Clerk, encourages any registered voter who has moved within Clark County and has not contacted the county clerk's office to make an address change to do so by calling 246-4491.

Flea market at the Clark County Fairgrounds will be held May 6. It is sponsored by the Extension Homemakers Clubs. Inside and outside booths are now available, call 353-2616 or 246-7845 for information on booth rentals.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Lions Club is now able to begin collecting old eye glasses. The collection point in Gurdon is First Baptist Church or you can call Charles Shaver at 353-4640.

Old glasses are recycled by Lions International.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
