PES Participates In 'Pasta For Pennies' Campagin

During the week of February 14-March 3 Prescott Elementary School students participated in the seventh annual Pasta for Pennies' campaign. This event benefits the Leukemia Society of America. All funds from the event benefit those suffering with leukemia and its related cancers, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and Hodgkin's disease. Prescott Elementary School had two classes that collected over $100 in pennies. They are Mrs. Marbury's Class, which collected $157.91, and Mrs. Fort's class, which collected $107.18. The winning classes will receive a pizza party. There will be a cookies and milk party for the class in each grade level that collected the most money. They are as follows: Mrs. Silliman, Mrs. House, Mrs. Ward, Mrs. Prewitt and Mrs. Golden's classes. Over all Prescott Elementary raised $1,253.51 for the Leukemia Society.

Suzanne Marbury's second grade class includes: Morgan Daniel, Jaela Hicks, Dakota Campbell, London Cole and Shelbi Cottingham, Mallori Williams, Tyler Glass, Ashley Gulley, Jonathan Harris, Elyssia Amos, Andre Norvell, Kierr Rooney, Austin Driver, Jarrett Harris, Jasmine Charles, Ashley Paige, Haley Camp, Damien Watts, Courtney Craven, Felicia Weaver, Brittany Sims and Coby Surber.

Loretta Fort's third grade students are: Aaron Maxwell, Kassi Douglas, Mary Roach, DiAngelo Gillard, Brittany Bennett, Tyler Carmen, Chris Davis, Quenton Glass, Moriah Wilson, Morgan Daniel, Rashad Blakely, Sarah Purtle, Essence Jordan, Kenneth Haynie, Josh Lewis, Bryan Meador, Evan Hamm, Desiree Purifoy, Markus Wesley, Kelsey Wren, Alex Haynes and Lewis McDuffie.
