Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellow-ship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For

more information call 887-5991.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be at the Nevada County Courthouse Thursday, March 23.

Supplemental security income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. To find out if you are eligible, call 1-800-772-1213.

The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is seeking ideas and items to put into the millennium time capsule.

This box will be placed in the mini-park that is being developed on the former Sterling Store lot at the corner of Main and West First Streets. It will be buried in early summer.

The box will be opened in 100 years.

If your child will have his or her third or fourth birthday before September 15, then HIPPY (Home Instruction Program for Preschool Youngsters) would like to make you an offer you will not want to refuse.

You may receive free teaching materials to prepare your child for school.

Arkansas Public Employees Retirement Systems (APERS) will be bringing a retirement seminar to the Hope area on March 30 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fair Park Community Center, Park Drive in Hope.

This seminar is for state, county, municipal and school employees who are members of APERS. The seminar will include a speaker from APERS, as well as representatives from Social Security Administration, state and public school employees insurance and estate planning.

Friendship Cemetery in McCaskill will have a clean-up day on March 18 beginning at 10 a.m.

If you have loved ones buried there, plan to attend. Take shovels, leaf rakes and wheelbarrows.

If the weather is rainy, it will be held the following Saturday at the same time.

Gold City Quartet is scheduled to present a concert Sunday, March 19, at 6:00 p.m. at Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope. There is no admission fee.

The church is temporarily meeting in the Klipsch Auditorium, located at East Avenue B. and North Elm Street. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Seating is on a first come first serve basis.

Munn's Chapel Baptist church will be celebrating the third anniversary of their pastor, Rev. Arthur Hill, Sunday, March 26, at 2:30 p.m.

Lonoke Baptist Church of Texarkana will be the special guest. Speaker will be Dr. C.K. Yarber, pastor of Lonoke and moderator of the Southwest District Baptist Association.

Union Grove Baptist Church will have revival services March 15-17 at 7:00 each night.

Bro. Tal Webb, pastor of Morris Baptist Church, will be the evangelist.

The church is located on Highway 195 between Marlbrook and DeAnn.

The Prescott Church of Christ will have a gospel meeting March 19-22. George Bailey from Dallas, Texas, will be the evangelist. Services Sunday are at 9:45 Bible class, 10:30 for worship service and 6 p.m. for worship service. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
