Helping Hands EHCPublished Wednesday, March 15, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Bluff City Helping Hands Extension Homemakers club met March 9 at the Church of Christ. There were seven members present. The meeting was called to order by president Marguerite Tomlin. Inspirational thought was read by Margie Knight. Roll call was taken by Laverne Green, secretary. Each one answered with "my favorite food." Some like chicken, some rice, peaches, strawberries and lots of fresh vegetables. Oleta Nelson was lucky and received the door prize. Our council meeting will be in April and all present must bring an old pair of glasses that can be recycled for those who need them or maybe can't afford them. This is a program sponsored by the Lions Club. Oleta Nelson and Hazel Plyler gave the program on cooking eggs and cleaning chicken. It was very good. Meeting was adjourned. All food brought was something grown in Arkansas. everything wad delicious and was enjoyed by all. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
